1st Place-Commercial Awnings & Canopies Over 30 Linear Ft- Main & Mill Brewery
Fabric restaurant patio canopy measuring 42′ wide x 2 ‘ 10″ high x 36’ projection. Fabric is Ferrari Satin 502. Canopy includes unpainted aluminum square tubing framework with steel substructure painted black. Installed to mount at top landing level and continuing over lower/bottom patio. Includes gutters and downspouts on each side. Fabricated framework to add seasonal sidewalls in the future.
2nd Place-Interior Awnings & Design- Hendricks Gin
Bar serving cart fabricated from 1 x 1 sq. and 1 1/4 round tube. Installed 5/16 star inserts in bottom of legs to accept 2″ ball caster stud. Prop suitcases serve as drawer boxes and are covered with Sunbrella Sesame material. Bottom suitcase bottle corral made from 3/8″ aluminum sheet and 3/4″ plywood with 4-1/4 hole pockets to capture bottle bottoms. Ice tray in top drawer lined with modified soft side cooler. Cart top is 3/4 plywood and finished with 317 Aurora laminate. Brass Letters were water jet cut and installed via epoxy.
2nd Place-Tent- Mount Gay
Fabricated a custom 10′ x 10′ tent top with full print. There are custom leg covers printed to match and taper to a base plate. The interior framing is hidden by a printed ceiling that attaches to the frame via straps and buckles. The material is an exterior polyester fabric with dye sub print.
1st Place-New & Unusual- Ranken Jordan
Custom Double Oval Canopy for a Pediatric Hospital outdoor nurse’s station. Each oval is 33′ 7″ long made from 2″ x 8” wall aluminum tubing. Oval fabric is white Ferrari TX30. Vertical fabric is Translucent Nite Light White 2604 with “C” track on base and stapled along top. This allows for the nurse’s station to be illuminated. Horizontal support headers painted silver.
2nd Place-Fabric Graphics- David Mason & Associates
Front entrance Half Barrel Canopy, 8 ft wide x 3 ft 4 in wide x 10 ft 6 in projection. The graphics were applied using the SGS process. They were printed and a UV protected laminate was added before heat transferring onto Sunbrella 4691 Deep Sea.
1st Place-Fabric Structures- Maryville University
Custom tension fabric structure measuring approximately 65′ x 26′ with custom color Ferrari 1202 fabric. Two 14” diameter sch 80 steel end posts tapered to 8” diameter, with base plates and cable connection tangs. Two 10” diameter steel horizontal spreader bars mechanically attached to 12” main masts with connection hardware and tangs for cable connections. Two 12” diameter steel posts approximately 8’ and 6’ high with base plates and cable connection tangs on the sides. Structure attached with 1″ & 3″ galvanized cables. The fabric was installed in one piece.
2nd Place-Commercial Metal Awnings & Canopies- Shaw Wild Carrot
Historic renovation of the Shaw Theater into a boutique style event space. Fabricated a new canopy to match the original canopy. Flat metal interlocking aluminum deck hanger rod lobby entrance canopy with custom fabricated radius front corners. Canopy measures 25’ wide x 9’ projection. Underneath is aluminum tubing grid with aluminum channel welded in a spoke pattern from front to back. Design creates recesses for future marquee lighting. Flush bottom mechanically attached sectional aluminum sheet soffit bottom between recess light channels. Two aluminum accent bands and “SHAW” white lettering.
